Fragrance Review – Mariah Carey Luscious Pink

What can I say about Ms. Carey besides her smart brain, her beautiful high-pitched voice, her sexiest appearance? Well, a lot of that, actually, is because she launches the perfume range. With ‘M’ on the FiFi award nomination list, a (once) newly released ‘Luscious Pink’ would surely catch the eye of fragrance lovers – or maniacs I dare say.

Luscious Pink bears that sweet resemblance to the gorgeous ‘M’ bottle design – that butterfly effect. It was so delicious that I ran all over the city blocks to find a mini collectible when it launched in 2008. As always, when desire met effort, what I most desired was found, hidden under large boxes of ‘ M ‘in a small shop near the bus station. Oh okay, the place was quite unusual.

Luscious Pink is beautiful beyond dreams!

Well yes, I admit it, beauty follows the theory of relativity, seriously. But this one is smooth. You will notice a different aroma working together to create a harmony of fruit and freshness. It opens with bergamot and sparkling, bubbly juice (listed in the notes as a Bellini cocktail). At the same time, I still find a trace of ‘M’, which means that a marshmallow gallop somehow caught my eye. Here at Luscious Pink, sweetness is on offer a lot and we will agree to wear it in the hot July weather.

The middle notes arrived, tiare flowers stumbled with lily. At this point, I dug into my memories and found that it had been a great disappointment to find an experience of sweetness almost similar to the one I had when I smelled Princess by Vera Wang or other sugary fragrances flooding the market. Still, Luscious Pink is clear, much clearer.

While the heart notes were still intact, the base rose. And guess what, a magnified scent of Celine Dion Belong was there! However, it was not as light as Belong, only sweeter.

Unfortunately, at this moment, the bottle I was playing in my hand fell to the ground. More regrettable, I forget to put my cap on. The juice spread everywhere, perfuming my room so intensely that I thought it was bathed in musky tiare flowers. The feeling was heavenly!

If you are a lover of vanilla, sugar, everything sensual and sweet like me, try this one!
