Kettlebells – Top Trainer – Pavel Tsatsouline

Pavel Tsatsouline

three times fast

Forget saying it three times fast. If you can say it once, I’ll be impressed. It’s a name you should know. A Russian force of nature that is changing the fitness landscape. If you’re not familiar with the Russian Kettlebell Master, you soon will be. In 1978, Pavel wrote the article “Vodka, pickle juice, kettlebell lifting and other Russian hobbies”, introducing us to my favorite comrade. In 2001, Rolling Stone magazine named him the “Hot” Trainer of the Year.
A master of sports is the highest level of recognition in the former Soviet Union and Pavel has achieved this distinction. He is a former Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz) physical training instructor and currently advises many US government agencies on fitness. Enough about the credentials.

You should add kettlebells to your workout because they are effective. You will save time and get results. The most important thing is that they are fun.

You may be wondering, “What the heck is a kettlebell?” Imagine a cannonball with a handle.
Once you imagine that, you may be wondering. “Why the hell would you want to put a handle on a cannonball?” Alright, he may not use the word tarnation, you may not even know what tarnation means. I know not. What I do know is that once you put a handle on a cannonball, you have the best workout you’ve ever had.

The Russians have been using kettlebells for hundreds of years and these are the claims made by Pavel in his kettlebell bible “Enter the Kettlebell”.

1. Kettlebells are very effective for building strength.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of going to the gym and working out on the machines. I get bored easily, and if you’re bored, you won’t approach your training with the intensity you need to see big strength gains. I believe that the concentration required to perform a kettlebell practice eliminates boredom and allows you to reach your strength potential.

2. Kettlebells are great for the heart.

Try it and you will not doubt it. A proper warm-up followed by twenty minutes of kettlebell practice will have his heart pounding like a pitbull is chasing him.

3. Kettlebell training improves body composition.

Achieve the “holy grail” of exercise. You will build muscle while burning fat.

Check out my blog for some great kettlebell workouts. You’ll love it, comrade!
