A Big Step Forward: The 2006 Corvette

The 2006 Corvette is an amazing car, in my opinion; the best job chevrolet has done on a corvette since the 1960’s and they deserve some praise for that i am an absolute chevoholic and whose passion in life is old muscle cars but this car deserves a lot of respect it’s got what that it takes to keep up with most 1960s Vettes.

After running some software-based tests using the weight and horsepower of the 2006 Corvette ZO6, I’ve really been impressed, and it’s no easy feat, if the car has the advertised horsepower at the flywheel, it should be able to hit 11,969 inches. the ¼ mile, and that’s impressive, it’s as impressive as the Viper has ever been, and does, and remains one of the best-handling cars on the planet, based on skid-pad testing.

The Corvette ZO6 earned a 1.2G deck slip rating, meaning at full throttle it would take 1.2 times the weight of the car to slide it 1 inch sideways, and another impressive number, the ZO6 continues to spit out those numbers. impressive, the next spec I’ll discuss is this car’s 0-60 time which happens to be 3.4 seconds, not a weak number at all, most European cars won’t go over that number.

So when you run into these jerks who think they can grind you down, just because they have a BMW, Mercedes, or some other imported car, probably not on the ¼ mile, not on a road track, and certainly not on the skid, the ZO6 Corvette is a true super car, it is simply designed so that the common person can afford to buy one and drive it, it succeeds a great car with a lot going for it.

Just wait until Chevrolet enters the second and third generation of this car, and see what they do, they are better at coming up with new and impressive ideas, while keeping the car in an affordable price range, can you imagine what an import, that can do what the ZO6 does it would cost you to buy it wouldn’t be in the $60,000 range and that’s where the Corvette is just try to name me an imported car with the same level of performance and level of excitement of the Corvette for the same money, impossible HUH?

The ZO6 is truly a car for the masses, a car that a muscle car man would enjoy driving and a car that a sports car man would be very happy with, it truly is a car that any car fanatic would be happy to own and ride. I know it would, with the limited first run of these cars it was very hard to get one as only platinum Chevrolet dealers got them, and even at that rate they only got one or two of each, and in this town the dealership owners took them home.

Here’s a word for you all, no Sayers, the ZO6 Corvette is not an easy target, at the 24 Hours of Lemans last year it came in first and second respectively, which was above Porsche, BMW and a few others. So-called best and most advanced cars on the market, if this were the case then you’d think they’d have no problem beating the Corvette, but they do, and they will continue to do so.

Because Chevrolet has a relentless desire to win, and no matter what you think of the Corvette, it’s a winning race car, and has been for a long time, and will continue to do so as long as Chevrolet continues to work on the performance aspects. Of that, Chevy is the master at squeezing more horsepower out of an engine, and they have been for a long time, regardless of what you may think, it’s a proven fact that Chevrolet has built the most winning engines in this country.
