Downtown Chicago, also known as The Loop, is dominated by high-rise buildings that create the famous Chicago skyline. Most of the apartments in the downtown Chicago area are high-rise buildings. Studios start at $700, one-bedrooms at $950, two-bedrooms at $1,300, and three-bedrooms at $1,600. Of course, prices may vary from building to building. For example, 25 E. Delaware is located around the corner from Michigan Avenue and has 17 stories. Studios start at $895, one-bedrooms at $1,195, and two-bedrooms at $1,695. This community does not offer many amenities, except for proximity to downtown, shopping, and transportation.

Lake Street Lofts, located at 910 Westlake Street, offers one and two bedroom loft apartments ranging from $995 to $1660. These lofts feature wood beam ceilings, brick walls, city views, intercom entry system, gas fireplaces, and a rooftop deck. They also offer heated garage parking for an additional fee each month.

The Presidental Towers, located at 555 W. Madison St., offers numerous amenities along with a great downtown location. This 49-story skyscraper has a shopping mall, a supermarket, a dry cleaner, a gym, and a dental clinic. Almost everything one would need is found in the Towers. Units in the Presidential Towers feature views of the Chicago skyline, granite countertops, hardwood floors, and black appliances. Studios start at $995, one-bedrooms at $1,075, and two-bedrooms at $1,770.

River Park North, located at 320 W. Illinois, offers not only apartments but also townhomes. This apartment community has an indoor pool, lounge and cafeteria, granite countertops, hardwood floors, views of downtown Chicago, stainless steel appliances, and many more wonderful amenities. Units start at $1,090 for a studio, $1,460 for a one-bedroom, and $2,130 for a two-bedroom. Townhome floor plans are offered in one and two bedroom designs.

Another great high-rise apartment building in downtown Chicago is Cityfront Place, located at 400 N McClurg Ct. on the Chicago River. Complete with an indoor lap pool, sundeck, gym, skyline views, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. They also offer free foot lockers and bike storage. Studios start at $1,095, one-bedrooms at $1,384, and two-bedrooms at $2,085. Cityfront Place is a short walk from the train and bus stop.

There are numerous apartments scattered throughout downtown Chicago. Some apartments are cheaper and do not offer many amenities, while others offer many amenities, which makes the price increase. There are also many apartments on the Chicago River and near the beaches. With the wide variety of apartments available in downtown Chicago, there is sure to be one to fit your needs and lifestyle.
