Dear grandmother,

I hope this letter finds you in as good health as the last time I saw you. I’m doing well and thought I’d take this time to say hello and thank you for the books you gave me during our last visit. You always seem to know what kind of books I like.

The weather has been just beautiful here and we are all doing great. I hope grandpa is well, please give him my regards. How are those tomatoes doing in your garden? I remember you were going to plant those tomatoes just before I left for Minnesota, please let me know how they are doing.

Well, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day or night. I have to go to class for now, but I wanted you to know that I’m thinking of you and hope to keep in touch.

your beloved grandson,

Johnny
