Link building with HubPages and Squidoo Checklist

Using platforms like HubPages and Squidoo is very advantageous for a website owner who wants to spread the word and who wants to create backlink campaigns for their websites. Back-links are links that reach a website from other relevant websites; that is, no website is good if people don’t know it exists. So this is why back-linking is useful. Backlinks allow a webmaster to get traffic to their own site from traffic visiting a different site.

In the past, people have engaged in link building activities such as link exchanges, blog comment posts, forum posts, and social media posts. All of these things can work, but depending on what the niche is about, the competition can be very fierce and the rankings can still drop very low. That is why using HubPages and Squidoo can help if the following tips are followed:

– Make sure you create interesting and relevant articles that people want to read. Review many in your niches regularly to keep up with what’s popular in your industry.

– Make sure you are creating these articles with search engine friendly hyperlinked keywords that lead to your website. Get keyword lists regularly using good tools for this, like the free Google AdSense keyword tool, to stay up to date with what your target audience is searching for online today. And adjust your content approach accordingly.

– Stay up to date with your articles and accounts in general. Don’t let them die. Update your content, make edits and updates to your articles. Keep them cool.

– Add lots of specific tags so people can find you and interesting modules for your pages. Popular modules are YouTube videos, images, RSS feeds, recommended link blocks, and others. Check out each site and network with other HubPages and Squidoo members for suggestions, network among members for ideas too, especially in your niche.

– Keep creating new pages and make sure the links and keywords are relevant to the website you are promoting. And get the help you need from good ghostwriters and virtual assistants, to post on a regular basis.

It cannot be said enough that the key to this method is that the articles, keywords and other content on the HubPages and Squidoo sites should be relevant to the content on the websites being promoted. Google doesn’t like lack of relevance and otherwise you will waste your time.
