My Resources Part 1 – Robert G Allen

It is a great pleasure to recognize my mentors and their books, ideas and classes that built me into the investor and entrepreneur that I am today.

There are so many lessons to learn. By the time you get most of them, the active life is almost gone. So the right thing to do is to educate yourself (read this article) and start saving for investments or just save for the long term.

Robert G. Allen is an important mentor. He is a hero in his own kind, bold and enterprising; you can’t ignore the books from him. I quite miss his book “Creating Wealth: Retire in Ten Years Using Allen’s Seven Principles of Wealth!” is the one I like the most because he explains a long-term plan for investing in real estate.

This is what makes sense to me: buy properties for five years, sell half of them, and pay for some good investments. Enjoy almost free cash flow and travel with good renters.

Refinancing to withdraw money is a different tactic. I like it too. These are not get-rich-quick receipts, which almost everyone is selling these days. Do they really sell?

Robert G. Allen’s books are worth the money, but no more than that in my opinion. The latest book “Multiple Streams of Internet Income” is more of a personal Internet packet of old marketing tips. If there is any new value added to the Internet or to marketing, I haven’t found it yet.

All seminars using Robert Allen’s name are a waste of time and trap potential investors with get-rich-quick tips.

His stunt for the “Los Angeles Time” newspaper, his early books and “The Multiple Streams of Income” are here to stay in time. All of his books are easy to read. This is very important for good communication.

My short list of mentors in the order I met/read them is: William J. O’Neil (1993), Carleton Sheet (1994), Robert G. Allen (1995), Robert Kiyosaki (1999), Napoleon Hill (2001 ), Jim Rohn (2002), Ken Evoy (2007). All of these names link to individual pages referenced for you on the website listed in the signature box.
