Perseverance is key to the success of home based internet marketing businesses

Technical stuff can really hang people up. If you let it, that can kill your progress completely. To avoid that, you have to develop an attitude that you are going to push through the obstacles and persevere. That attitude is essential if you want to have successful home-based internet marketing businesses…because believe me, there will be plenty of opportunities for technical challenges on the internet!

You have to decide that you are not going to let these obstacles stop you. Do not get frustrated. Do not go away. Instead, resolve to get some answers. Write your question clearly, and then look up the answer.

That may sound a bit trite… and maybe you think it’s not that easy… maybe you’re the person with the most technical problems. Or so you think. I can tell you that you are not alone! I still run into these things all the time! What I have learned is that, sure, the challenges are there, but so are the answers.

Take some time to search for the answer. But not too long! Don’t let the search lead you down a rabbit hole lest you progress in the big picture: building your list!

So don’t waste time. If you can’t solve your problem in less than an hour, decide if it really is that important. If not, forget it and move on! Upload your page… start building your list. You can always revise the page later and make it better, prettier, fancier, whatever. You’ll want to anyway!

Another thing you can do is get help! There are many ways to do this… you can ask for help on Twitter… I am constantly amazed at how many people are willing to help if you can clearly state what your problem is. Another way to get information is to type your question into Google.

If you’re really good at following instructions and have found answers that are easy to follow… then great, you can do it yourself.

Or if that’s out of your reach, you can hire a webmaster. You can find them through Google, through Elance and other independent sources… and if possible, hire someone local. I suggest you give them 30 seconds to answer… say, “You’ll have me as a new account if you can answer this question in 30 seconds or less.”

Once they have answered your question, they have shown that they know more than you… which is very important. You will probably also find someone who is flexible and willing to compromise. Be nice to them! Pay them around $100…give or take…to develop a small site for you…let them know you want it simple and fast.

There will always be new and different glitches that show up throughout your home based internet marketing business journey. Perseverance can be you doing the work, going through the hurdle, or it can be you letting go and going around it, or it can be giving it to someone else to get through. Know that you WILL FIND the answer with the right attitude and your business will be up and running in record time!
