Ski Holidays in Winter Park

Winter Park Ski Resort is a premier ski resort in the Colorado Rockies and for good reason. It is a world-renowned alpine ski resort located just off US Highway 40 and is only an hour and a half drive from the Denver International Airport, making it an incredibly accessible resort from Denver.

The Resort itself consists of three interconnected mountain peaks, Winter Park, Mary Jane, and Vasquez Ridge, all of which share a common lift ticket. Since Intrawest took over ownership of the Winter Park complex, there has been an attempt to turn Winter Park into a year-round community by keeping the lifts open year-round to provide access to mountain biking trails and keeping the base area open for play golf, rock climb and a verity of other activities.

When it comes to skiing, the Park has a lot to offer. With a base elevation of 9,000 feet and a top elevation of 12,060 feet offering a respectable vertical change of 3,060 feet. There are 143 ski slopes in total covering 3,060 acres that are divided by experience into 9% beginner, 43% intermediate, and 57% advanced and expert skiers.

When planning your trip to the Park, take a look at the package that includes airfare, lodging, ski equipment rental, and lift tickets. There are some great deals to be had out there. The more you buy from the same supplier, the better deal you are likely to get. This is because the supplier gets better discounts that they can pass on to you with larger orders.

I hope this has been informative and helps you enjoy a well-deserved ski vacation!
