This special edition is a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. She became the first woman to become Queen on 6 February 1952, a year after the death of her father, King George VI. Elizabeth was just 25 years old at the time. Her coronation took place in June 1953, nearly a year after her father’s death. The whisky comes in a square-shaped bottle with a burgundy label and silver screw cap. It is produced by Gordon & Macphail under an official bottling license.

The Macallan Diamond jubilee Whisky was specially bottled to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The whisky was drawn from a cask on 8th February 2012 at 52% ABV, representing the time it was distilled, 1952. This a special edition that is limited to just 2012 bottles.

The Macallan Limited Edition Diamond JubilĂ©e was released in 2012 and was filled with ex-sherry casks during Queen Elizabeth’s reign. The release of this special expression is only limited to 2,012 bottles, and is packaged in a purple presentation box. It also comes with a ceramic brooch designed by Arnold Machin, whose design was later reproduced on postage stamps.

In honor of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the Macallan distillery has released a special edition of its whisky called the Diamond Jubilee. First drawn from a cask on February 8, 1952, the Macallan Diamond Jubilee whisky is bottled at 52% ABV. The whisky was matured in a sherry cask. It is a limited edition bottle, and is available only in 2012.

In celebration of the occasion, Macallan has released two limited edition 35cl bottles, each at 58.1% and 55.7% ABV. Each bottle features a portrait of Her Majesty and a label featuring the official Queen. The whisky is matured in Spanish and American Oak seasoned sherry casks. The lighter version symbolizes the young monarch and the energy of the Elizabethan era.
